Measurement of efforts: The magnitude and orientation of the stress turns out to be one of the most relevant measurements in the Geotechnical area, since they provide indications of the stress state of the rock mass that is to be intervened. Well, the technique with Acoustic Emissions has been implemented in MATGEO SpA with more than 100 measurements at a national and international level. This methodology has comparative advantages over others commonly used, which are listed below:

• Measurements are made indirectly in oriented rock cores, which can be the same ones extracted by geological explosions.
